Strands

Contributed by humphdj on Thursday, 25th July 2002 @ 11:24:01 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

The silken threads, of passions tranquil tones
Will gently bind our hearts.
And as heat rages to warmth,
These strands of love
Evolve an intricate entanglement of our union,
Or a tightening cord, that severs our very souls.

Time structures our future
For passion is a sightless beast.
Fluids evaporate from a lost reality
Flames of hunger quenched
Naked; violently stripped of our lust

Your eye's still meet mine
Sparkle dulled by familiarity
The silence sweet, though uneasily false
Will we savor the strands that bind us?
Or find awkwardness in their constraint?
Are the fruits still appetizing?
Now we have eaten our fill?

Hi humphdj
You never fail to impress me Dave. You are so versitile and have such great range.
I don`t know what you`ve been putting on your Wheatabix, but you and your fellow Brits have been writing some great stuff, especially since coming to this new site.
Very well written, well worth 5 stars.
Thumb
