Namely me

Topic: Lifepoems

Once upon a time there was a little girl, she was namely me
Who came into this world in a family as child number three
Little Miss Independent could have well been my name
But loved and adored by brother and sister the same
THEN there came two more for this family to adore
Then child three was forgotten for child five and child four
A middle child - a middle child - Oh Woe was namely me
Vying for attention - craving love - all she wanted to see
What was there to excell in when the others claimed it all
Big sister's pretty and well like and always had a ball
Big brother was content and thought as good looking, too
Little bro had social skills and friends more than a few
Little sis - cute, quiet and shy, but an artist inside
Namely me was fiesty and caused trouble - she will confide
It took years before namely me began to believe
She had something to offer for this world to receive:

Namely me had something better than looks - its something that never goes out of style
Would you believe she finally discovered that she had an understanding smile???

And may I add, a beautiful heart Linda. I was not a middle child, I was the 5th one down, the baby took it all until one day I discovered, the baby wondered why I could be so happy in my life. Yes, the 5th one down, found God's love... smile away sister... Raquel Leah

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
