Before you're a lover,
You have to be a friend,
Not one just to talk to,
But to stay with you in the end,
After you're a friend,
Your memories start to grow,
The more you talk and share,
The more you'll start to know,
As you grow in heart,
Your love will want to spread,
Your feelings will pour out,
It leads your heart and your head,
Once you are a lover,
Your emotions will run high,
You'll never feel the same,
Or watch that person walk right by,
But after your a lover,
What comes next you see,
Is something not to be proud of,
But something less to be,
After your a lover,
Their feelings will die out,
There won't be many kisses,
Mainly screams and mostly shouts,
After all the fighting,
Remember, here 'till the end,
I might not be your lover,
But I'll always be your friend.
