Apology

Contributed by hippie on Tuesday, 29th November 2005 @ 06:39:23 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I don't believe what you did today,
you looked deep into my eyes,
then turned and walked away.
i tried to shout your name,
i tried to call you back,
even though i know i must be the one to blame.
you've never done this to me before,
you've always been close to me,
hugs and kindness, i couldn't ask for more,
today there was no smile upon your lips,
you just stood and looked,
with your hands upon your hips.
i tried to read your coffee colored eyes,
but all i read was pain and anger,
for they had turned the color of darkened skies.
I'm sorry if i hurt you, if i did wrong,
i wouldn't do anything to hurt you,
i promise that as the day is long.
you were there when i cut my wrist,
you were there when i took my pills,
helped me through the fog and mist.
what did i do to hurt you today?
i just wish i knew what i had done,
so i could make everything ok,
you know i love you with all my heart,
I'm sorry for the pain and anger I've caused,
But can we please make a fresh start?

*i know this poem isn't very good, but i wrote it today after someone very special to me walked away. it's just thoughts scribbled down so please, bear that in mind. THANK YOU xx*
