“Want and the Game of Tug o’ War”
I am sitting here, denying everything in existence.
Denying that simple part of my humanity
That comes alive.
I
I want to sit and
Breathe you in.
Listening to the hills and the valleys of your breath, I
Smile.
I want to write you
The longest poem of all.
Alone in the madness,
Tortured by angels and cherubs,
Intoxicated with emotion tasting of Merlot.
Tossed by tempest,
Erased by harsh memories and broken hearted cries.
Beating still, living still,
For the hope,
For the burden that envelopes,
The burden that cleanses,
The burden that causes madness to
Stir the senses in a whirlwind of
Blushes and Daydreams;
Don’t ask me why.
I wish to write a song,
Music for music,
Note for note,
Marching to the rhythm and the
Beat that that is you.
