Resonating Shadows

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Monday, 28th November 2005 @ 04:11:45 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I don’t know my age again.
I don’t know who I am anymore.

Child… lover… friend…
Mother… angel… monster…

I am all and nothing,
And, darling, kill me again,
Because I love this repulsive degradation,
I love you
inside of me
Even when I silently scream ‘No’…

And, flawless deception, I hate you
Just as much as I
hate
me…

I hope you don’t mistake this for disgust.
This endless river of bitter secrets spewing from my mouth
along with yesterday’s pungent sins
Is just another thing to ignore…

Vv^vVv^vVv^vVv^vVv^Vv^vVv^vVv^vVv^vVv^vV

I cut myself today.
I can’t remember why,
But everything I do doesn’t seem to need a reason anymore…

I went deep this time. You’d be proud.

I think I almost died, but I guess I’ve always been just that.

Dead.

Vv^vVv^vVv^vVv^vVv^Vv^vVv^vVv^vVv^vVv^vV

I don’t know what I write.

((so many voices… i know naught which is my own…))

This pen is dying,
And these words are insignificant.

Shut up. Keep bleeding.

Love is an excuse to hurt.
I want to die. I want to die.
Could you help me?

What I am to
you
do not need…

A powerful, poignant piece here Stephy.

Sometimes we are called upon to be so many different poeple to others it is easy to forget who we really are. The voices, God the voices are just the same ... which one is truly mine own ?

"Love is an excuse to hurt...."
Perhaps ... but also to feel, and to rejoice, and to know beyond doubt that even through some of the most pain and the sweetest ecstacy ... you are indeed truly alive.

Nazzy ~
( never disapointed with your writing talents )

This one reaches out with a forceful demonstration of sadness and regret. Very poignant indeed.

Blessings.

Umm Hey. My name is Marissa and I am new to this website. I just wanted to say that this piece is very beautiful. I can really relate to that sometimes. Even your "random thoughts" show so much emotion, so much feeling... Very, Very good.

This is truly dark, yet so saddening.
So much pain and hurt, penned with deep emotions.
The write, expresses more from the soul.

Stephy a powerful, deep and poignant poem.
A thought provoking piece written from the depths of a wounded and pained heart.
You have the amazing ability to express ur inner thoughts and emotions so well.
May sorrow exit from ur sad beautiful heart and may love shine through it again.
*heartfelt hugs to such a dear friend*
~sue~
who has missed Stephy so much!

"Love is an excuse to hurt."

I agree with that sentiment totally a beautiful
and tragic yet poignant write. This just flowed
and I felt the ache that seeped out of this
poem. I hope you no longer feel like this
however.

*hugs*
Joel

You can be pretty good to yourself too! Thoughts on dreaming again fills with wonder. As dreamers have the capacity to recollect themselves in any environment the trick is to tune in without wear and tear as the world turns quickly and in rapid crisis changes I feel the licks and similarities to dream states.

The question begs where does dreaming end and waking begin and vice versus?

Beautiful
AJ
