Living in such a day

Contributed by johndough111 on Thursday, 23rd January 2003 @ 07:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

What is about these days?
That makes me feel like a lost case
Walking through barren waste lands
Hoping that it’s just simply a passing phase

I try to stay strong, and I’ve got something inside,
That grips at my wrists, assuring me that it ‘aint my time to die
But maybe just maybe, I should brake down and cry

Having lived everyday without emotion, I never have had
That sense of empathy
But why should I when all of those who are above off me
Show me no sympathy

There’s nothing lucky about me,
Or the moments that make me re-direct my tracks
And have made me feel so hollow, looking blindly for another fool to follow
In this stage of ignorance, nothing to me seems too hard to swallow

Giving into all of my demons
My guilt always seems to deepen
With every word, moment, and decision made.
I wish that I could go back to when my slate was clean, or to simply escape
But all of these possibilities have already begun to fade,
Living in such a day

I have felt like this sooo many times..and it really is just a passing phase...and you will prollie pass through this stage a few times. Keep your chin up..and remember..someone out there has it far worse than you could ever imagine :)

Whoa I loved this poem it was filled with so much truth and pain
'And have made me feel so hollow, looking blindly for another fool to follow'
That line brought back a lot of memories for me. I hope u can escape from the grip of what we both seem to be in.
