My Fantasy
In my heart I feel a stir
Gears in my head start to whirr
My eyes water and flash
Ideas round and round dash
Thoughts rush to and fro
They come they go
Some are silly some are smart
This how my poems start
Write them down very quick
Seems to do the trick
Tales of Fairies, elves and such
My soft heart seems to touch
To grandchildren my poems I read
I know this is what I need
To be happy now I’m old
A treasure worth more than gold.
