Mechanical Love

Tuck your tail behind your side.
Show some respect and you won't have to hide.
Teacups adorning you while you sleep,
while little gnomes place them there with no peep.
Wake up and realize you don't know where you are,
Scream until you figure out,
you've never left the room before.

You pass out from lack of blood flow
Stunt your hormones so you cannot grow,
and still beg for death
with your very last breath.

A machine with no direction left,
Your heart's of iron,
and it's rusting away with your blood.
Watching the sun each movement it shifts,
Your mind will harden,
and your decay falls to the mud.

How can the world stand there watching you?
I'll pick up your fallen bits
How do they not know what they do?
I'll repair your electric circuits
How could anyone hurt your innocence like that?
I am your shield from all the hits.
Why would they throw you to the rats?
You will rise from the depths of the darkest pits.

I would never let you slip,
I will hold you near my hip,
My arm around your waist,
and only kisses for your face.
From the shadows I'll keep you safe,
Your heart with stainless steel replaced.
And I'll take all that rust away,
And I'll keep every pain at bay,
All my love for you, my dear,
None left for me to spare.
That I may rust away instead,
so that you can trade with me again,
over and over,
machines live forever.
