Reverand Role Reversal

Contributed by weepingprophet on Saturday, 26th November 2005 @ 11:59:12 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

i had half hoped that you wouldn't return
that instead of me finding you i would get lost
how often i want to trade places with you
and become the one so desperately sought after
but you claim your role so valiantly

**** you

i spend everynight in the wake of your words
what else is there in this world for me?
you're not so subtle with your contemplations
of ending me and i don't dread your breaking point
i don't fear your rage
i am silently ready to embrace
the role reversal

**** you

one more time and i'm on my knees
confessing for your death
but what takes its toll inside of me
is the memory of purity

**** you

we've both been dead too long
reverand role reversal
how i have crossed my arms
and penanced all else to hold what i hate
in the end will there be a silent denial of all
that has taken place?

**** you
