Express my heart, move my brush
Imagination, stirring brown blush
My mind says do not rush, be refined
For my art will be a shame to hush
Closing my eyes so I can paint in blind
I see a horse race against the wind, he shined
He expands his legs far and wide, he proceed
His entire herd is afar from him, all confined
The ground response to his every speed
The grass create a path to give it heed
His mind change left to right, his dart
He stops, senses me near, he feels my need
I open my eyes to see my art
Laying my brush, I feel him in my heart
But I have to go, for my day has to start
I’ll finish him later, I have to depart

coming from an artist's point of view and a growing poet i really like that, inspirational if such. The racing horse is the perfect image for this poem. x x x |
