Twenty Miles of Defeat behind you,
blinding you to the road ahead.
Where is that girl, that once lived inside you?
Dancing, and Singing, and dreaming in red.
The prision within you, the killer of fate
Has taken this girl, and taught her to hate.
Told her these stories, and made it seem fact
Told her of sorrow, an a world turning black.
I know you can hear her, for she can hear you,
She's calling your name, as your calling her's too.
Tell her you miss her, show her you there,
Tell her you'll save her, show her you care.
The sun will rise, the moon will fall
But if you never look, you'll never know at all.
Your eyes will lie, things are never what they seem,
Never say goodbye, to the fairy tale in Green.
