Imagined Vacation

Contributed by Kie-Kie on Wednesday, 23rd November 2005 @ 10:34:23 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Well it happened to be
That on this day
Jarred popped over
He wanted to play

Now the game on his mind
Was one I found strange
And despite my fears
His mind would not change

Next thing I knew
I was up in the air
To look over the edge
I did not dare

Within the balloon
I was up so high
And I couldn't help
But heave a sigh

For as I clunng
To the basket floor
All I could dream up
Was touching ground once more

Then our Irish friend
Whom we all adore
Started talking of states
With ranches galore

And this image so lovely
Got stuck in my head
Of an Irish cowboy
One named Jarred

So with a giggle
I returned to the ground
And suddenly realized
The courage I'd found

So thanks to our
Imaginations
I'm finally ready
For an airborn vacation

Now that was a very very nice poem, Kiela. That crazy Jarred, though scaring you like that. Just kidding Jarred. Glad it had a happy ending and all worked out for the best.

I'd have to say very briiliant imagery because you had me right there with you clingy onto the basket floor. Awesome flight, Kiela.

Thank you for sharing this.

Tim
