To my mind come bright eyes, so sublime;
A lovely, happy smile, with teeth that shine.
I have deep pain inside, while reminiscing,
My beautiful Annabella, I've been so missing.
Such feminine gestures, quite endearing,
Bouncy playfulness, my attention securing.
Your love for all, you show unrelenting;
Hugs for everyone, gracefully consenting.
Time and distance become my enemy now,
Must find a way to defeat them somehow.
The delightful attentiveness you command,
Pulls stoutly on these old heart strands.
Annabella, granddaughter, so wonderfully charming;
Papa finds our separation completely alarming.
Angel of angels with a manner so sublime,
You've captured completely , this heart of mine.

But also heart-wrenching, - can I ever emphasize!. Far away, so very far from what I have left on this earth.
