you say you would wish i was there
and you say you have bought me a gift
but its what you don't say
that keeps me coming back to hear
those simple words
hear your voice and its a "nothing much"
want your smell and caressing touch
but what i need the most from you is
those few simple words
now i know i may not be
the most romantic of them all
and to love someone is a little cloudy
now my horoscope says, you're mature
but nothin about simple words
yet to be spoken
you say snow is for cuddling and i agree
i caught a hint of something but Oh, its gone
and i saw you
and i stopped and stammered a little
but that's gone
and now i need you
are you gone?
i need those simple words
to give my heart the air to breathe i need
those simple words
to give my skin the touch to see
that those simple words
may just have been
there
all
along
