We will have other happy days
but never one like this.
Even if we find deeper joys
or a sweeter bliss.
This will be a memory
apart from all the rest;
something I will keep forever
hidden in my chest.
I will always remember it
the sunshine and the sea,
the picnic lunch spread on the sand,
the breeze, the sun made tea.
A quiet walk along the shore
beside the lacy foam,
a golden sunset in the sky,
the stars to guide us home.
Nothing wildly thrilling
no exciting happenings,
just a tale of simple pleasures
and of the love you bring.
Nothing marred the harmony
for everything was right.
Perfect from the morning greeting
to the last goodnight.
Baby when I’m with you
everything is alright.
