I Remember

As I look at it, I see you.

Outside,

Chiped and scratched by careless hands.

Inside,

Perfect in every way.

One is mine.

But the other never will.

So I sit here,

And let my tears fall.

Watching as the slowly roll down.

Trying to wash away the pain,

From my heart.

And I thank the Godess,

For at least letting me be near you.

And knowing that you're there for me,

Even if you'll never be mine.

So I'd like to say,

Thank You.
