Christmas Time
~~~~~
Christmas time is here again
You can feel the excitement in the wind
Children counting the long days down
Until Saint Nick comes to town
The malls are packed with gifts galore
Covering each inch in the store
Shoppers race to get the deals
They’ll worry next year about the bills
Lights encircle the Christmas trees
Children are in line for Santa’s knee
Reindeer practice their flying leap
Elves forgo their nightly sleep
Busyness rings loud and clear
The sense of urgency is in the air
Decorations to hang, gifts to wrap
Little time for a winter nap
For Christmas will soon be here
Time to get our butts in gear
And make this season the very best
One that outshines all the rest
