Lifepoems

A few lost moments in fallen sleep,
A glimpse into the world we reap,
A sunrise you don't want to miss,
Into the darkness your final leap.
Stray from the path you know so well,
And do not know what others tell,
For our lives are our own at end,
A truth that it's not worth to kill.
A roll of shadows that dance the room,
A flicker of flame that fights off the gloom,
In knowing when it's time to leave,
To spare yourself this open wound.
And at some point everyone believes,
In twisted branches and fallen leaves,
And just as seasons come to pass,
I will be content, just to be.

Wow, I like it. I like the existential tone that follows the diction.
"I will be content, just to be."
In my mind, { I may be completely off }, that dispells the mythical prodigies and the invisible comforts that man tries to fabricate for consolation. The stoicism represents the freedom from make-believe shackles of dictation to the superstitions of man's 'faith'. [ Not just in religion, but otherwise as well ]
I could be mistaken, but regardless ...
I thought it was very well-written.
