His Vanity's Amazing...

Contributed by markymark on Thursday, 25th July 2002 @ 11:09:18 AM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

He watched himself ...as he passed on by
a real quick glance...devilishly sly
adjusted collar...brushed his shirt
wiped away a spot of dirt
his vanity's amazing...
brushed back hair, not out of place
over gelled, just past his face
his plastic tan, was a big disgrace
his vanity's amazing...
gold watch on a fake gold chain
a massive ego from a tiny brain
he just aint Able...nor even kane
his vanity's amazing...
cowboy boots...with a silver toe
with heels that high
he's got vertigo
after shave
that leaves an after glow
his vanity's amazing...
slim cigars to look so cool
a silver lighter
to light the fool
how the hell...did he get through school
his vanity's amazing...

Great poem! I agree with that other person... "a massive ego from a tiny brain" is the best line!

Must have been a weird school indeed to have allowed this character to survive!! I enjoyed this Mark.
