Racism

Contributed by Jariah on Sunday, 20th November 2005 @ 08:52:18 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Discrimination
And hatred burning
is this what people
Want children learning

The colour of your skin
Your family face
Is this your kin
Is it just one race

Blacks and whites
Around the nation
You'll never know
If your a relation

Intermixing
Marriages entwined
Stop the hating
Open your mind

Bigger wars
Being fought overseas
Can we come together
To make it ease

If i were purple
If i were green
Would you go out of your way
To still be mean

We have one face
We have one heart
Why should skin
Be the different part

Stop the hating
Slow it down
Wear a smile
Not a frown

*****Would you go out of your way

Going out of the way, even walking clear around takes too much energy.

Pardon me, excuse me, is what you say
To make happiness in the world
Stay in the way
Let not your love for others come unfurled

Lovely poem... I pray all will be blessed in the name of the Lord. Your color is my color says He who loves all. Even when He does not get love back, He still loves us. Listen to the teacher, stop the hate, love all, that is what our lives are all about.

From my little Book, Apples of Gold...

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday

Beautiful poem, keep teaching all... Raquel Leah :D
