If I could take your pain
Protect you in this world
I would as a loyal knight
Slay demons with flag unfurled
If I could take your hand
Repel evil all around
I would as a mighty warrior
Stand fast and hold my ground
If I could shield your heart
From heartache and misery
I would gladly forfeit
My paltry life for thee
If I could be but a moment of happiness
Somewhere along your way
I would count my dreams fulfilled
The answer of prayers I pray
If you could see this heart
So in love with you
My life would be complete
My greatest dream come true

Wow....Precious...that's a beautiful title...and this poem is soooo deep...and sooo full of love...your writes are beautiful Russ i enjoyed this one alot i think this is my favorite one of yours...this one needs to be engraved somewhere beautiful......absolutely beautiful....
