Lined Paper

The black ink presses lined paper
Memories flow from mind to hand
Recolletions are often like grains of sand
Smal and countless but extremly treasured
Which is exactly why I jot them down
I try to evalute from every measure
The mistakes that I have made
To all the nights I prayed
Through the good times and the bad
The moments I once had
Where I was like a king
Turns out to be only a fling
I write them down mostly to remind myself
That even if the bad outweighs the good
There are more lines of paper to complete
And hopefully the bad will end by good graces defeat
