Wondering

Contributed by sprinter27 on Friday, 18th November 2005 @ 06:40:25 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Wandering in the dark
Wondering where is the light
Looking for that park
Even though it is night

Wondering where you are
Wondering if you care
Wondering if you are far
Wishing I knew where

Wondering if I can find you
For you are my light
Wondering if we could be true,
Are you my shining knight?

Wondering why I even hope
I know you and I could never be
I am barely able to cope
The truth bores down deep into me

My heart is starting to break
It can't take all of the pain
My mind is beginning to bake
It is forced to live in vain

Wondering why I love you
Wondering why I even try
I know we could never be two
I know I might as well say 'bye

Wondering where you are
Wondering if you care
Wondering if you are far
Wishing I knew where

I like this...repitition is used effectively and enhances the poem. A little choppy at parts, but over all the rhyme scheme is good. I liked the topic, it was touching. Keep up the great work..

Hey old friend.

You have been on my mind lately, and I hope you have found your light.

Great poem.
