Prolonged exposure to depressing thoughts
Invokes side effects of distorted vision.
Dark, dreary skies loom over
Endlessly rising walls that
Are unromantic as a knife.
Strange, I never noticed them before,
But now I know they limit me,
In every aspect of my life.
How long have the been here?
I wonder if they're even real...
Vague humanistic expressions seen
Through purely periphreal views,
From the the tangible imprisonment
Of walls that've never been felt,
Taunt me incessantly.
Dangling the desires that
I convinced myself I never wanted
So long ago.
Second guesses tear my opinions
Apart into something I won't believe.
I'm scared to tear them down.
Afraid of the consequences and
Possibilities that lay beyond.
My comfort comes from mediocrity,
Content with being discontent.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL (yeah.. I've had too much sugar)
Anyways, I found this poem wonderful
And the words that you use to describe it
Perfect blend of ponderence and intellect
Nice Write
