Cold blue steel in his hand.
Once used for law enforcement.
Now a tool for crime’s endorsement.
Blue heart,
now turned black.
With each chamber filled
no turning back.
A fettered mind
with moments of lucidity.
Irrepressible anguish
set on a course for insanity.
Knowledge of what is right and wrong
To the brotherhood of heroes
he will no longer belong.
Retribution now in his sights.
Blood of the corrupt and innocent
will flow this night.
As warm casings spill to the ground
one last chamber filled
one more body to be found.
