Here I am again,
Barefoot on the beach.
Breathing in the ocean air,
Clinging like a leach.
I am the only one,
This makes me able to relax.
The sound of the ocean waves,
Stops me in my tracks.
The day was stressful,
This beach is my haven.
I like to go alone,
And lay under the setting sun.
Whether it's July,
Or the middle of March.
The ocean's still beautiful,
And it makes my back arch.
Picking up seashells,
Putting them in a jar.
I start a collection,
Right from the sandbar.
I could lay there for hours,
With no one to tend to.
That's the way I like it,
No one to rescue.
Then I have to return,
To my reality.
It was nice while it lasted,
Down by the sea.
