I Confess

Contributed by slayer_015 on Tuesday, 15th November 2005 @ 01:40:36 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Upon the swaying cob-webs tread
The lusts of men in words unsaid
Where noone hears the heart that bred
The whispered love,now withered dead.

Should I now share their withered fate
Remaining in this present state
Where all happiness as of late
Has gone the way of staunch debate?

I shall not share this clouded day
Of sad fools clad in loveless gray
Where lifeless ghosts of these same pray
For loves lost sun, gone far away.

I with this loving mouth confess
That you I will always caress
And pray the lord that he may bless
This humble love which we possess.

This is real nice...
"the lust of men in words unsaid." definitely like this line. Very strong. I lust all the time, but god forbid I say it. Good write.
