A Fathers' Love
He always felt different as a little boy
And he never knew the reason
But one day on the playground
He found the cause of his confusion
One by one a daddy called a son
It's time now we've got to go home
Son we've had a good day
But Mama's got supper made
And Daddy wants to eat it warm
But that little boy had no Dad
To tell him, son ,it's about time
You see, he never knew his Father
Because his died when he was nine
His heart became heavy
And the truth hit harder
Why did God make him
Live without a father
at home ,he cried to his Mama
About what he learned that day
But mama told him, son
I've got something to say
Close you eyes, Hun
And picture Daddy here
He's picking you up now
And holding you near
That's how your Heavenly Father
Loves you too
Just give Him a chance
He'll prove it to you
And someday in Heaven
He'll tell you, Let's go home
It's the way The Father
Loved His only Son

This is a great poem. You hit it dead on I know how it is living without a father. |
