A Mystery

Contributed by Willofree on Monday, 14th November 2005 @ 10:34:46 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Shrouded in mystery,
He remains an enigma
From where he originates,
No one knows
Is that puff of smoke him
Rising in the atmosphere
Or a magician
Disappearing into thin air
An aura of gloom and doom
Does he expel
Perhaps he carries the keys
To the gates of hell
Is that a real face
Or just a mask he wears
Cloaked in black
And cleansed of hope
Only ill will
Does he generally evoke
Any who follow him
Are doomed to despair
Look out for your self,
For he truly doesn't care
He emits a penetrating sound,
And a cold haunted stare
Often seen,
But never to be found
Though frequently hidden,
His followers are
Among his peers
No one is exempt
From his persuasion
His only mission
Is to destroy us all
We all must be aware,
As he comes like a thief
In the middle of the night
For this cloak and dagger figure
Is truly our enemy
Perhaps he is best known as

NEGATIVITY

Wow, you paint a bleak picture.

I love the ending here, it's a really nice twist, and it was pretty unexpected. It's almost like a riddle, but way better. lol.

Anyway, I really like this.

Great write,
*hugs tons*

LOL Right up until the end, I was convinced you were referring to my ex :P
I think this is a great piece Will...Dark and disturbing, a very different kind of write for you, and you did a wonderful job! Negativity feeds off us all, and has the tendency to spread like wildfire...I guess we surrender to it sometimes, because it's harder to be positive, so we take the easy route...Very well done write. You did a great job of expressing your thoughts.

Wow Will! This was incredible! I LOVED the ending!
So perfect!!

I was held captive by this piece, my eyes wide and
glued to my monitor, reading intently, relating oh so well,
and anxious for the answer to the question you built in
my mind. Wonderful write, my friend. Truly remarkable.

~Breezy
(who just has to add another oh wow!)

Will, what can i say? This was better than what i tought and it's good, it really is.

I agree with Phil this almost seemed like a riddle which is a hard thing to accomplish. So well done mate.

*Hugs*

Jane~
