It's been awhile since I felt as alive as I did tonight
I was somebody
Somebody I forgot existed
Picked up where I left off two years ago
I can finally live again

So many changes
All new faces of friends I once knew

Love is still there

The past two years are now only a whisper
Re-inventing myself
I hope they like the new me

They've been gone so long
But to them, not long at all
Pushed the play button again
Because they were all on pause

Free again
Even for just a little while
Combining the old and the and new
I'm glad you're home my friend, my friends
I'm so envious of you

Good poem, now make the memories last
