Moving On

A little under two years ago,
My world went up in smoke.
I didn't want it to end that way,
The way that my heart broke.
I wrote away my pain,
Through poems and in song.
No matter how much I lost,
I needed to stay strong.
I did what I do best,
And continued with my stubborn ways.
I've moved on from what has happened,
And have come out of my daze.
People change as years go by,
And there's nothing I can do.
I just have to move on,
And go on to something new.

A sadder realization is that some people don't change!!!! At least you're not one of them! Nice job on this poem. You expressed your feelings fairly well, and wrote it in an easily relatable style. Keep it up!
