Darkness
Of the Spirit
Cherish and embrace it;
Deep, - in the darkness stands the forge
In which the Divine Smith does His hard work,
With the anvil as the altar,
And the hammer beating
To make Soul, in
Darkness
Darkness
Do go through it!
Let it take you beneath,-
Below the seat of emotions,
And the turmoil of the life of sunshine,
and callow vapid happiness,
To the quiet place where
New Life trumps
Darkness
Darkness
Is a great gift,
Souls are fashioned in it,
By the anvil and the hammer,
Sparks are flying high as the only light,
And the beating is the music;
Edge and heft is bestowed,
And substance, - in
Darkness

This is a nice poem..
I personally prefer to seek enlightenment and hence understanding not by way of an abstract blacksmith however, but through science..

What a marvelous analogy ED. I never know where you are going to take me ED, but I love going along because you have never once disappointed me. This is lovely, the music, and the words, like a beautiful sonata played especially for your reader, I took feel deeply, and when in quiet solitude, darkness without a sound, I'm impressed, and inspired. Such a great way of saying it.
I enjoyed this poem so much,
Warm love
consue
Your Rictameter was perfect, and triple for emphasis! |
