There is a girl i know
who's true feelings refuse to show

on the oustide you would think she's always happy
but I know inside shes always sad

a year ago today
is when her father past away
a year ago today
she became a broken girl

It's nice to see you'll written the poem for your bestfriend, you clearly have alot of love for your friend.
