When I write my poems
I do not expect your opinion,
I do not expect them to be judged...
Critiqued.
When I write my poems
theyer really not for your eyes
they are how I feel
theyer about my life.
So if you do not like the way I write.
well then do not say a word.
Do not tell me I should practice.
Do not tell me I should re-write;
because just to let you know
my poetry is for my eyes
my poetry is my light.
I dont expect you to like them
or anything I write

true, but i do have to ask, this is a site where
comments are free. i know you have posted
comments and given your opinion even if it is
positive. might i also suggest that if you truly
dont want people commenting on your
poems do not post them. Although it would
be a loss to the site if you did so. i hope you
do not take this as one of the comments you
dislike so much although i think you may.
however this is a well written piece, conveyed
your feelings perfectly

I have to agree with Dizza. This is a public forum for unpublished poets that has a feedback function....posting here will draw critiques, wanted or not.

If someone is giving you honest commentary, and in a non rude manner, you should be grateful. I'm sure you, much like the rest of us, aim to improve on your poetic skills...A sure way to do that, is one; to keep writing...and two; to heed good advice from those kind enough to take the time to help you...That's what ypdc is supposed to be about...or have you forgot? I must say, I do agree with what you're saying in regards to changing your style of poetry. I think everyone should be comfortable with the way they write, but typos, and spelling errors, and other things can (and DO) take away from a write...Simple as that. I could mention to you right now about the various typos in this piece, but I won't, because I'm sure you're aware the moderators could fix that for you, if you allowed it...If you don't want to grow into a fabulous writer (like you certainly could...) then follow BlueGusto's advice about the author's note...Such a shame though. I've always enjoyed your work, but I don't care to lie just to please an author...

I admire your honesty and of course i have read your other poem and i have comented
cause i liked it, yeh things can get a little rough on this site and that's putting it mildley,
and ironically the ones that critisize the most
or the harshest are the ones have the least right to, just be your self for that alone is a
mark of a true genius.

This isn't what I call poetry. It's a rant. Anyone can rant - ranting doesn't have to be coherent, merely passionate and reactionary. I suppose someone might classify it as ironic that you rant to a multitude about not wanting anyone to validate your opinions and feelings, but really - take a look through any poem of Heaney's and you'll find yourself agreeing with me, inwardly.
Good luck,
