Abstact Turmoil

Contributed by PLformalyknownasPpaul on Friday, 11th November 2005 @ 04:15:57 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Grey sky blocks out the sun
Apathy, you’re to tired to run
Love makes brittle bones to break
Earthquakes look for lost souls to shake
Solid faith you’d like to have
But Abstract Turmoil drives you mad

Drives you mad

You investigate the sleeping tramp
But you forgot the magic lamp
Dark shadows, his eyes are hidden you can’t see
Fear holds you back you turn and flee
Something’s are better left unsaid
But Abstract Turmoil leaves you hollow and dead

Low down hollow and dead

Spectacles rimmed with false gold
Big Brother leaves you cold
Bells ring out but ears are blocked
Hard truths make unappealing the Solid Rock
Oblivion is something like peace
But Abstract Turmoil is a lost Soul’s feast

Dante’s Feast

And those who live life in the dusty lanes
Indifferent, irrelevant out of range
Still and flaccid in bars every Friday night
A generation raised by women, without a fight
Picking at the plaster awaiting the day
With Abstract Turmoil you ain’t got no say

What happened to your hair?

Angry men driven too far by capitalist trigger
Media hype and it all gets bigger
The real enemies of freedom, you don’t know them
The deal makers it’s about money not the New Jerusalem
Board rooms, profits, and ties
Abstract Turmoil ain’t got no pupils in its eyes

Love is blind, so is the greed machine

Liars make the big decisions
Pigs, the primary incisions
Presidents spoon there military contracts
The politics of fear obscure facts
Money talks and ********* flies
And Abstract Turmoil clouds your eyes

Clouds your eyes and ***** your soul

Some people think there taste is so unique
The culture industry makes individuality obsolete
Poets spit bile and kill there hearts to make up rhymes
It all just washes over you, sign of the times
Some search for love I search peace
Abstract Turmoil chews without teeth

Put a frog in water and turn up the heat

Politicians got on his jargon shoes
Clichéd blades dulled from over use
It looked so good for a moment there
You where almost half way to having a care
How good it would be to all be One
Abstract Turmoil leaves you comfortably numb

Comfortably numb, you been done

Curvy baritone women scream out
To distract you from the mutant trout
The deeper you fall the less you care
Apathy again, you sit down on the stair
You come first eternal fears are dead
And into abstract Turmoil we are all led

We are all led

We are led

Not quite dead we are led

But I am not a member of that choir
I won’t sing from a page that makes me a liar
I’m still young, I can turn my back
I ain’t going to go down like that
One hand locked inside conformities handcuffs, eyes staring, one foot almost of
But I’ll fight on, I will not stop, I wont sit down, in turmoil I am, lost I am not

Come on what else can you show me

My eyes are opening now to the machines designs

I believe in God

You got nothing on me

WoW a real thought provoking song you have presented us with. I like the structure and the lyrics absolutely sensational. Well done on producing such an amazing song. 5 well deserved stars.
