Love, greed, envy, pain
This is how my life is made
Love, like, worry, hate
You are human, accept your fate
Giving, taking, selling, stealing
To everyone these are appealing
Murder, life, kill, despair
Life to most is sure unfair
Humans kill, humans take
Some are real, and others take
Some tell truth and others lie
Eventually we will all die
Welcome to Humanity

well i think this could be better. i dont really care for lists in poems, because they just arent effective. for every single one of those abstract emotions, ideas, or concepts, you could have used poetic license to ellaborate and create stanzas incorporating them more than just a mention. i think you had some good rhythm in this, but some of the rhymes seem forced. i dont care for the title, i think it can be more creative with capturing the essence of this poem. concept wise, excellent job. i, afterall, detest humanity, so i agree. |
