WAR:

Contributed by RICHARD_CAMPBELL on Wednesday, 22nd January 2003 @ 11:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

ON THE BATTLE FIELDS I SAW,
MEN RUNNING BOMBS BLOWING UP,
BULLETS FLYING AS SOME DUCK.
STILL THEY SUCK IT UP.

THE BULLETS HIT WITH A TREMENDOUS FORCE.
THE PAIN HIT LIKE A GALLOPING HORSE,
LAYING IN THE DIRT COLD AS HELL.
FIRST IN THE LEG MOVEING UP LIKE A SPELL.

THE SCREAMS OF YOUNG MEN GETTING KILLED
CAN SOME ONE PLEASE GIVE HIM A PILL.
HEART TWIST AS ONE MAN SAID,"WHEN WILL IT BE OVER"
ANOTHER SAID NOT YET GO TO BED.

THE SCREAMS GROW LOUD AS OTHERS FELL,"MUDER ME PLEASE I CAN'T BEAR THIS HELL.
EYES GROW COLD AS THE NIGHT MOVE ON,
BOMBS STILL FALLING LIKE A DRUMMER SONG.

AS THE CRIES DIE DOWN SOMEONE SAID"I WISH I WAS HOME IN MY OWN BED".
BULLETS FLYING PASSING OVER OUR HEADS SOUNDING LIKE WIND INBETWEEN TWO MOUNTAIN EDGE.
BUT STILL THEY FIGHT AN MOVE ON, VICTORY IS A SOLDIERS SONG.
