Sun-dappled, star-kiss’ed.
Fermented guns shoot blanks,
like rotting ferns.
Pen and ink: quill tattoos, only semi-
permanent, like hearts and sighs;
like ships of bones – leaking.
Faces painted up, a sad clown in a jester’s cap.
Whitewash: picket fences and geisha eyes.
Freckled lips belie your calamity.
Paperclip novices and bear-trapped wounds;
regal appliances outwit your electric currants,
brain matter – conductive.
Conductors; of train wrecks, your choir;
a chorus of angels, erupting – volcanoes or doves.
Mix a paste of glitter and rice, pigeon slaughter.
Vomit-wax (ænd wane),
crimson tides roiling: lividity.
Sweetly scented propaganda
gavottes from fibbing tongues,
good, but not enough – far from those untold.
