Flames of hate

Contributed by In_a_While on Wednesday, 9th November 2005 @ 03:49:42 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

One more kiss upon this cheek
and life will let me sleep
One more hug to warm this heart
and then she's mine to keep

"Candy.... all your tears are sweet"
"Candy.... when might we, taste defeat"
Summer days and candy canes
i never want the gun to leave.

One more night spent in her eyes
and day will come to fade
One more pill to pause the pain
and numb the love we've made

Sinking flowers,
white and smile.
No more rain,
fight denial.
Gasoline,
flames of hate.
Yesterday,
please let me wait...

...inside of you.

This write is alive with intensity and brilliantly infused with passion and solemnity. I was awestruck at the end of the first stanza and enjoyed the familiarity of the second stanza. In many of your works you speak of "candy" and i find it constantly tugging at the limits of my imagination. Though the entire peice was gripping and wonderfully written my favorite part was the third stanza simply because it spoke so personally to me, its passion was unrelenting and completely devoted to each word. "One more night spent in her eyes.and day will come to fade. One more pill to pause the pain. and numb the love we've made." It's just so elegant and honest, brutal. I also adored the ending I think it brought the entire peice together so accurately and gave the style uniqueness.

WoW DW you leave me speechless. Sensationally briiliant. An outstanding well portrayed piece of poetry written with such artistic talent. Well done. Captivating from start to finish.

Such sadness and sense of loss here.
You definatly have an emotive write in this piece.
All things happen for a reason, a new door will open soon......
