Careful to stain you with a glimpse
Showcased for your seeing pleasure only
Nothing but a phantom eager to fly
Dancing in circles among your soul
Temptation drives a wild bouquet of love
Never driven deeper than I can hold
Embracing you with anything that’s left in me
Somehow these words are dripping cold
Precious memory sewn into my heart
Still such a distant land to wander
Unforgiven regrets will haunt you
When you blame yourself of hunger
This is not a real heart I’m holding
Underneath its subtle burrowing lies
I found you nothing but my own despair
Your forbidden shadow I hide
Cast behind it won’t hurt a bit
Still waiting in the crevices of time
All knowing just a glance will make me smile
And a goodbye will shatter my life
Leave with intentions of another light
Drifting away into an unknown darkness
Wake up with another piece broken off
Lethargically given up, my heart a mess
Lost sight of what I followed along
Too far gone away from home
Shudder off the cold breaths, a reminder
In your distant world I’m all alone

WoW an absolutely amazing write. You've written what I could not. I know the pain and anguish that you are feeling for I am in a similar sitaution. Love from afar, I can so much relate to your poem. Chin up and may you be with the person that your heart so longs for real soon.

Wow... this was damn good. I don't even
know where to begin it was all so equally sad
and poetic. Anyway I think most people can
relate to this, but few can get it out as
poignantly as you did. All around it was
amazing from the first line to the last haunting
line. I just wish I had a fraction of your talent.
