Peep Show

Contributed by Jyssvw22 on Tuesday, 8th November 2005 @ 08:55:25 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Wedged in bad shapes are the splinters that ache
The wooden stake through the heart it makes
The flesh fall apart and the backbone shake
As fingers fall off and faces become rearranged

Where there is hunger food is planted
On the rock-bed the moss covers and protects
The elements necessary for existence
A precautionary move to avoid the colossal
Impact of the hull crashing into the heavy water

The properties which comprise the course of history
Pass electricity through the tube to the infinity
An extraordinary discovery of the neutron theory
Heavy ice breaks up the surface of the light
And the prism is spread in multi-directional patterns
Stacked up the flicker ignites the lantern
Intervals disappear as witnesses of what occurred
Eventually picked up and handed out to those who hurt
A tremendous effort of sub-altruistic concern

In theory the hypocrisy is buried
The epilepsy and the seizures have regressed
A body penetrated by static unease
Where the feet stand the heels squeeze
In application the soul is far more difficult to please

A reaffirmation of why the choice is not to believe
Complimented by numerous interactions with destinies
Chosen to remain in action are movements contributing to the breeze
Attributing all this perfection to the sacred decree
Written on parchment burnt in the thousand degree
Sun melts in the palms frozen to the trees
In augmentation it all ceases to be
The same as before when the cattle roamed free
When the saddle on the horse was transportation in need

In theory change is good but what has it done for me?
Recently, anyway, I should shut up, and for once, just be happy
So for now not a peep

An engaging and interesting piece of work. Several lines provoke ponderment. I especially liked

Written on parchment burnt in the thousand degree
Sun melts in the palms frozen to the trees
In augmentation it all ceases to be
The same as before when the cattle roamed free
When the saddle on the horse was transportation in need

Some excellent imagery here.

Andrew

Wow. There's alot going on in this splendid piece! Loads of eye candy; an imagery craving soul like myself can enjoy. Very well done, and it seems like a very introspective write. I see jyssvw22 has hit 200 now! Congrats, and keep it up.
