A Change for Nothing

Contributed by memories_mist on Tuesday, 8th November 2005 @ 07:28:26 PM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

halting my tongue, being headstrong
no word from you, what have I done wrong?

I sit with friends that blabber, tonite words are few
my thoughts seem to escape back to you

meaningless fights we should have outgrew
lingering memories, my heart withdrew

urges within, your interest seemed renewed
my head was filled with deceit and I came unglued

empty words, shadowed and feared
you sat there and grinned, and I'm the one weird?

I am ready for you this time I do whats right
being with me isn't your God-given right

I will stand strong, not give in to your demands
take back what is mine, like I originally planned

forgiveness you say, where would you start?
once I trusted you with my soul, my heart

echos of words that haunt me, daunting and true
memories once vibrant turn wilted and I bid adieu.

I like your write alot. A deep, very well expressed piece of poetry. A tale of a love that went wrong. Time will heal all wounds no matter how big or how small. Chin up and may love reign in your heart again real soon.
*hugs*
sue
