the best and only cure

Contributed by paula_kay23 on Tuesday, 8th November 2005 @ 04:41:35 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

The best cure I can think of
To end this turmoil and grief
Is to go back to yesterday
When you were here with me
It may not be realistic
But I just cannot bear
Looking into tomorrow
Knowing you wont be there
Time can heal my wounds
Yet for now they bleed for you
Because time, you did not have
You never saw life through
Life is cruel, in so many ways
But it is also filled with joy
We made our own life, you and I
A life we both enjoyed
So darling I will celebrate
Every moment spent with you
Our friendship, love, children
Everything we held true
I can go back to yesterday
When you were here with me
If only for a short time
If only in my memory
You and I will live on
After all that we endured
And that my love is to me
The best and only cure
