Weather Change
~~~~~
My little boy, you look so sad
What happen to my happy lad?
The weathers changed, I know it’s true
Yet no one asked if it was okay with you
Out the window, you sit and stare
Fun is outside, yet you’re in here
Your young mind can’t understand
So you sit with your chin in your hand
Can’t throw the ball, cause you might break a lamp
Can’t ride your bike over a wooden ramp
Can’t play with your bulldozer in the dirt
Can’t run around, cause you might get hurt
No sliding down your monster slide
No sneaking around playing seek and hide
No diving and splashing in your little pool
No playing with the kids coming home from school
Oh the reality that winters come
Disrupting the fun of every little one
Oh daddy, how long with this cold weather last?
For your sake son, I hope it goes real fast
