Anger (Maybe)

Contributed by Silent-No-More on Tuesday, 8th November 2005 @ 12:41:14 AM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

And if it’s as incomprehensible
As an unsent letter, somehow
– somehow! -
That will be alright.

(If you forgive yourself it, that is.)

~ ~ ~

It wasn’t anger, was it?

But you called it that –
Wrote it on a little, yellow label
(in black pen – black pen!)
And with a bit of white glue
You stuck it
Right there on the front of it.

Didn’t you?

(Ah! but, I know you know
White glue doesn’t hold
- not for very long anyway,
not... in the rain.)

So what was it?
Self preservation?
Misdirection?
Ignorance?

Denial…

All that
just so you could smile?

And now, what?
You want to talk about it?!
Well go ahead -
Rip the tag off
Call it by any other name.

(Hell... what should we call it?
Pain?!)

I knew
What it was anyway.
But talk about it?
Never.
I won’t...I can’t.

~ ~ ~

… Even black pen smears
When the page gets wet
And still
You can't take the words back.

(So yeh… we’ll call it anger… and smile.)

~ ~ ~

[forgive me?]

I liked this write, I could relate. I wrote out my frustrations recently, guess it's the moons or something in the air. LOL...Writing mine out helped me more then I really though it would. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! That just seems so...so spontaneous! I love the in the heat of the moment affect.

So, yeah, we'll call it brilliantly inspired...and smile. :-)

I love it.

Hope you're doing well and take care.

Thank you for sharing this, Snemmers :-)
