I'm Sorry....I Wish I Could Have Lied

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Wednesday, 22nd January 2003 @ 06:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Under moonlights gaze she sits alone, lost in screaming thoughts
How could she turn away a love that this man ,to her has brought
Stepping forward from the shadows,he spoke so softly to her heart
And she took the smile he so casually wore, and tore it all apart
Now he feels alone again left with nothing but remnannts of his smile
Regretting the story of his heart, for the pain of truth was not worthwhile
He ,in his deepest sadness, her in a state of quiet guilt
Though worlds apart, they secretly know, true love they could have built
Yet his heart belongs to another and hers is lost somewhere in space
Two souls forever searching for their final resting place
Not heaven as we know it,more a paradise on earth
Where lovers join in heart and soul, and for eternity...give birth
Creating all that's wonderous,a kaleidascope of colours bright
Under love's protective blanket, safe from the loneliness of night...
Deep soulful sighs pass through her lips,to meet the warm nights air
As the moonlight tries to soothe her, dancing through her hair
Towards the window, she slowly walks, and pulls the drapes aside
And to the stars she sheds a tear and wishes she could have lied

Wow this was beautiful... I have been torn apart by many girls who have torn to shreds my feelings for them. They all said I was a great friend... but now there not my friends any more. Anway great poem so much feeling and heartache.

The truth does hurt, does it not? You have expressed that so well in this piece.
