Empty Pages Stare Back At Me

Empty Pages Stare Back at Me
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thoughts becoming jumbled in my head,
remembering good times and what you said.
Words full of meaning flowed from my pen,
you made me start beleiving again.
Now I sit back and let out a sigh,
wondering how to write this goodbye.
Chewing on the cap of my pen,
staring down at blank pages again.
So here's to you...my 'so-called friend'
Another word for hate, is there something nicer?
don't worry about me, because i'm all the wiser.
Tried to play me as a fool,
you broke my first rule.
Honesty is all I did demand,
I've had more of you than I care to withstand.
I'd stoop to your level but you are as low as they go,
you called yourself my'friend'? more like enemy or
foe.
This isnt my fault, you know where the blame lies,
now look who sits at home and cries.
You want me to be happy? fall from my graces,
don't get in my way or sit in my spaces.
Begging for forgiveness,your making me sick,
I don't want to hear your foolish logic.
Go! Run Fast! Pretend to hide,
One place you'll never be again is by my side.
I hope you learned your lesson through this ordeal,
the truth is out now, how does it feel?
Staring down at blank pages again,
Is that how I should start? No, i'll let it END.
I guess, were all situated with people that betray us. I know myself, it sometime's feels like those are the only kind in my life. But I've realized I may judge to harshly, and there may be forgiveness due, where I would never place it before, then again, I've made a lot of mistakes. What I'm saying - trying, is that people will betray you, they'll stab you in the back, because they can't stand to see your expression as they do it. It's part of life, we learn from mistakes. A lot of times I don't think it's intentional that we hurt someone, and sometime's we get all caught up in the emotion that we were wronged, that we don't listen to the other person's story. Some wounds can't be healed, some can, but sometime's we need to just forgive and forget I think. I hope all works out for you, great write.
-Cassy
