Sleeping With The Memory

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Wednesday, 22nd January 2003 @ 05:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Fresh from a bath of rose oil,she wanders to her room
To brush her hair before the mirror and dab on some perfume
Candlelight is flickering across her saddened face
While a fragrant breeze kisses soft, her neglige of lace
Behind her near the bed,she sees his photo in a frame
And she makes her way across to him, whispering his name
Falling on the bed with his face held in her hands
Shedding tears so freely, for the heart that holds this man
The summer breeze so tender, drifts across her still damp flesh
Reminding her of moments when his lips had touched her breast
He never felt the love within, her deepest feelings were alone
Still she loved him faithfully,as though she was his own
Reaching out through shadows,to return his photo to it's place
She pauses and decides that here in bed with her he'll stay
Just for one more night,so while she sleeps, she has him near
For letting go of him isn't easy, the truth is hard to hear
With closed eyes remembering,a time when hope was young
Now tears replace the stars at night, because all hope is gone

You have a great descriptive talent. I can see her, I can see his pic in your words and I can feel the emotion flowing from your gifted heart.

Thank you...really..thank you for writing.

Tim
