Most kids have a grandpa
But few are quite like mine
See mine came with some extras
that will see me through all time
I'm sure he thought when his were grown
He'd be raising kids no more
But little did he know
That would change when I was born
He's always helped my mom
To give me everything I'd need
And take alot of worry off
So she could be there for me
Be it church or scouts or school
Or anywhere id go
I always knew that I could look
And find grandpa in the first row
Now as I'm growing older
I'm grateful everyday
for all the little bonuses
And special treats along the way
I'm who I am because of him
And I hope to make him proud
I know I can't thank him enough
For never letting me go without
I know he'll always be there
When I'm good or when I'm bad
You see he's more than just my grandpa
He doubles as my dad
